This generation of teens are so eager to help others in need. They want to put others before themselves. This is why IGNITE Outreach, a ministry of IGNITE Student Ministries, is dedicated to serving others. Through this ministry, we are allowing God to send us into our neighborhoods and minister to others. Periodically, we will go to a person's home and assist them with tasks such as lawn care, landscaping, painting, and other small repairs which they are unable to do themselves or pay someone to do it for them. As Starfield says it in their song, "I Will Go," "I will go, I will go, I will go, Lord send me, To the world, To the lost, To the poor and hungry."

If there is any way that Ignite outreach could serve you, please contact Pastor Matt. We will be glad to contact you to identify your need and discern whether this would be an opportunity we might be able to serve you with. Due to the age of of those involved, some projects are not always available for us to assist with though we will do all we can to find the proper individuals to help. As Jesus teaches us, those who want to be great will become servants of everyone. Jesus gives us that greatest model of servant hood as He took the payment in full on the cross and served humanity in the greatest capacity of all, by dying on the cross for our sins.

Another way IGNITE Outreach is helping others is through its "Saving People, Saving the Environment Campaign." We are collecting the following items, in any condition, at the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren: Ink Cartridges, Cell phones, Ipods, PDAs, Laptops, Digital Cameras,Camcorders, DVRs, & GPS Units. These items will be recycled to keep them out of landfills and the money generated from the recycling will go to local and international causes.
